How To Make Leaves Christmas Tree Not falling

This information is useful for those of you who like to put a Christmas tree to enliven the atmosphere of the birthday of Jesus Christ. Of course, this applies if your Christmas tree is a real fir tree, not made of plastic.

Scientists from Laval University in collaboration with the Nova Scotia Agricultural College found the cause death of leaf pine trees. Through his research, they say that the cause of death of leaf pine is the hormone ethylene.

The conclusion was made after the scientists conducted a series of experiments. They put a stalk on container growth fir. Then they observation for several weeks.

Apparently, soon after the plants produce ethylene, the leaves begin to fall. Ten days after placed in the container, ethylene being produced. Three days later, the plant leaves begin to fall. And after 40 days, the plants become bald.

To double-check the truth, the scientists used two chemical called 1-MCP and AVG. They spray on pine stems and see what happens.

Based on the result, the leaves of sprayed plants that can survive up to 73-87 days. "On day 40, the sprayed plants are still green, while plants that do not already bald," said Steeve Pepin of the University of Laval.

The results can give a good impact on producers. "Because 1-MCP is a gas, it will be very easy for producers to spray on the truck used to deliver," said Pepin.

While for consumers, these findings are also beneficial because AVG is a liquid so easy to apply. AVG can be dissolved in water which is then given to the tree so that tree age may take longer.

Finally, 1-MCP and AVG can be used by producers and consumers to maintain cypress trees for the leaves used was falling fast. The atmosphere of Christmas can last longer in your home.
